Fee Structure

Unless otherwise stated, the below rates are VAT exclusive:

  1. Hourly rate:
    1. Unless a specific service is covered elsewhere herein, or if an alternative rate has been agreed in writing with De Langen Inc, the following hourly rate will be applicable:
      1. Director:    R1800.00
    2. The hourly rate will be applicable, without limitation, to the following:
      • Consultations
      • Drafting of court processes
      • Perusal and review of documentation
      • Telephone calls and voice notes
      • Traveling time
      • Court appearances or attendances at court or similar forum, including waiting time
  2. Correspondences
    1. Correspondences includes formal letters, emails, SMS and WhatsApp messages.
    2. Correspondences will be charged for per page at the applicable rate for every A4 page, or part thereof.
  3. Travel expenses
    1. For any travel required in relation to a client’s matter, De Langen Inc, will in addition to the hourly rate for time travelled, charge for the applicable travel expenditure for the use of e-hailing services or the prevailing AA rates, whichever expense is applicable.
  4. Copies and cost associated with telephone calls, voice notes and correspondences
    1. Copies will be charged at R7.00 per page
    2. Telephone calls and voice notes will be charged at R5.00 per minute, or part thereof
    3. Letters and emails received will be charged at R9.00 per page
    4. Letters and emails sent will be charged at R14.00 per page
  5. Drafting of Wills
    1. A basic Will, which does not include a testamentary or living trust, fewer than 3 heirs and no fideicommissum will be charged at an all-inclusive fee of R2 500.00
    2. A comprehensive will, which could include a testamentary or living trust or more than 3 heirs, will be charged at an all-inclusive fee of R5 000.00
    3. The determination of whether a Will qualifies as a basic or comprehensive will, is within the sole discretion of De Langen Inc.
  6. Antenuptial Agreements
    1. An all-inclusive fee of R5 000.00, which includes the notary fees and registration cost

Please note that all clients will be required to sign a formal mandate and fee agreement with the firm upon instruction.
